As Public Information Officer for the City of Independence, I lead the City’s communications efforts with a focus on transparency, public engagement, and strategic storytelling.
My work includes overseeing media relations, crisis communications, digital communications, and public information initiatives while advising executive leadership on communications strategy and community outreach.
I am leading the development of the City’s comprehensive communications assessment and strategic plan, helping modernize communications practices and strengthen connections between residents and their local government.
From public safety and infrastructure projects to economic development and historic preservation, I work to ensure residents receive clear, accurate, and timely information while helping tell the story of Independence and its future.
